Before we publish or share your submission, we want to make sure you understand how your story might be used and what you’re agreeing to. ✅ What You’re Agreeing To:

1. Permission to Share By submitting your story, you give The Mermaid League permission to publish, share, or feature your story on our private membership platform, email newsletters, and official materials (like social media, website, or printed books).

2. Edits for Clarity We may lightly edit your story for grammar, punctuation, or flow—but we won’t change your meaning or voice. You can also choose to approve edits beforehand if you prefer.

3. Credit or Anonymity Let us know if you want your name included or if you’d prefer to remain anonymous. We respect either choice.

4. No Payment Right Now At this time, submitting your story is voluntary and unpaid. If we plan to use your story in a paid product (like a book or podcast), we’ll contact you first.

5. Right to Withdraw If you change your mind after submitting, just email us. If we haven’t published it yet, we’ll delete your submission. If it’s already been shared, we’ll remove it from future use when possible.
