Welcome to The Mermaid League

We are more than we know ourselves to be, when we are around people that truly see what we can be.  

I said, “I’m not a writer.”

But I wrote a book.

I listened as he said, “I don’t do art.”

But then I watched him draw a beautiful picture.

I heard her say, “I’m not creative at all.”

And then she described an incredible story to me.  

Stars dancing

the wind and currents

move along in harmony. 

the sun reflects off the water

causing a shimmering illumination. 

Self-discovery 

with a magnifying glass 

creates a point of light

In the water

it can guide the way

On land it creates

heat and fire.  

Be burned 

Or change

into something different.

Flow between the cracks 

Come to the surface

with a new realization

Life is full of beautiful possibilities

If you create healthy spaces

for the water to be absorbed

The idea and concept of The Mermaid League came from my experiences of sharing my story with others.  I was able to see the importance of storytelling and the impact it made not just on me but everyone in my life.

All of us have or had obstacles in life to rise above. It’s our badge of honor we can wear in this life. 

To share experiences is our gift to give others and I hope this community enriches you in some way.
