INSTRUMENTAL AND INTUITIVE GRIEF

I recently attended a conference that focused on families that had lost a child.  What I learned and witnessed was a need for more thoughtful and compassionate communication with others. How taking the time to stay silent and just listen and hold the space.  Because the space in the heart that was torn open from death will never be closed.

Be strong

Be Brave

Time heals

Everything happens for a reason

In certain cases, these can be seen as inspirational and motivating but perspective and care must be shown when someone is barely holding on by a string to keep it together.

Validation and presence is all that is needed to be in that space.

I cry for all the feelings of loss, love, anger, and sadness.

The emptiness knowing that they are dead.

I cry for the love we shared.

We can help raise the road and make the journey more bearable next to each other.
